All three home sides were victorious in Saturday's openers of the 2015 U.S. Adult Soccer Association Wisconsin Werner Fricker Open Cup.

The United Serbians outlasted Milwaukee Brewers 6-3 after extra time in a wild quarterfinal – the other games were shutouts, with Milwaukee Sport Club getting past the Milwaukee Kickers 1-0 and Bavarian SC topping North Shore United 3-0.

The semifinals are Saturday, with the Croatian Eagles playing host to the Bavarians at 2 p.m. in Franklin and Sport Club entertaining the United Serbians at 3 p.m. in Menomonee Falls.

The final is scheduled for Nov. 1 – as defending champions, the Croatians will have home-field advantage for the final should they advance. If they don't qualify, Bavarians or United Serbians would play host to the final. The state champion will earn a spot in next spring's USASA Region II Werner Fricker Open Cup tournament.

After conceding the first goal at the Serb Hall field at St. Sava, United Serbians twice took the lead only to see the Brewers equalize each time. But in the extra 30-minute session, Bojan Jovicic (UW-Parkside), Goran Vlatkovic (Milwaukee Hamilton) and Rade Vidovic scored as the home side finally pulled away.

Jovicic and Vlatkovic each finished with two goals on the day, while Nikola Santrac had the other goal for the Serbians, who turned the tables on the Brewers following a 5-4 loss in Wisconsin Soccer Leagues Major Division play on Sept. 21.

Sam Krenzien (Wauwatosa West/UW-Green Bay) scored the lone goal for Sport Club, finishing off a feed from Steve Sperl (Wauwatosa West/UW-Milwaukee) with approximately 20 minutes left at Schwabenhof. Matt Eisold (Burlington/Wisconsin Lutheran) posted the clean sheet for two-time defending WSL Major champion Sport Club, which lost to the Kickers 3-1 in a league match back on Sept. 14.

And at Heartland Value Fund Stadium in Glendale, Paul Marx (New Berlin West/UW-Oshkosh) opened the scoring in the 40th and Robbie Boyd (Milwaukee Marquette/UW-Milwaukee) and Andre Francois (Brookfield East/UW-Milwaukee) added second-half goals in the Bavarians' victory. Stas Miaskowski (Appleton Xavier/Carroll) recorded the shutout for the home team.

The semifinal matchup between Sport Club and United Serbians will be the teams' first meeting of the season, while Croatians and Bavarians played a 5-5 draw in league play on Sept. 20 – the Bavarians rallied from a 5-1 halftime deficit to earn a point. The sides also have met in the Wisconsin Open Cup final each of the past two years, with the Eagles winning 1-0 in 2013 and 3-1 last fall.
