Braden Andryk (Milwaukee Marquette) scored twice and Bret Dietz added a goal and an assist as host Bavarian SC cruised to a 4-0 victory over Minnesota's Stegman's 1977 in a U.S. Adult Soccer Association Region II Amateur Cup quarterfinal Saturday night at Heartland Value Fund Stadium in Glendale.

Goalkeeper Jim Jones (Kenosha Tremper/Cardinal Stritch) posted the clean sheet for the reigning Region II champion Bavarians, who advance to meet the Michigan Future Stars in the semifinals. The date and location of that match is still to be determined, but the game is expected to be played no later than May 14.

Dietz opened the scoring in the 15th minute, then played in a cross that Dan Holowaty finished in the 36th as the home side quickly took control. Andryk, who will be a senior at Milwaukee School of Engineering next fall, converted off a feed from his older brother Logan Andryk (Milwaukee Marquette/MSOE) in the 43rd to make it 3-0 at the break and finished off the scoring off a pass from Nick Wilson in the 78th.

The Bavarians won last season's Region II tournament, which was a round-robin event held over three days in June in Michigan, and played host to the national Amateur Cup semifinals and final last August in Glendale. They scored two late goals to draw Texas' Legends FC 2-2 and prevailed 5-4 on penalties in the semifinals before falling to Maryland's Christos FC 2-0 after extra time in the final.

The Michigan Future Stars knocked off Wisconsin's other entry in this year's event, the Milwaukee Brewers, winning 4-1 on Saturday night in Hamtramck, Mich.
