The annual Wisconsin Division I Spring Cup, a staple of the spring exhibition season for the state's four NCAA Division I men's soccer teams, won't be contested as scheduled Saturday.

But all four state sides still will be in Milwaukee for some matches.

Marquette will play host to UW-Green Bay at 9:30 a.m. on the artificial turf pitch at Valley Field, while UW-Milwaukee entertains the University of Wisconsin at the same time at Engelmann Stadium. The Golden Eagles and Badgers then will meet at 2:30 p.m. at Valley Fields.

Two matches were scheduled to be played on the grass field at Valley Fields, but that field is not playable because of the recent rains. Meanwhile, UW-Green Bay and UW-Milwaukee have small rosters this spring and preferred to play only one game rather than two – the Phoenix already have played UW, while the Panthers are scheduled to play Marquette on April 28.

Traditionally, the winner of the two early matches meet for the Spring Cup title, with the other two teams playing in the third-place match.
