Dafydd Jones (Cardinal Stritch) was in goal as host Wales beat England 6-2 on Dec. 4 to win the inaugural Home Nations futsal tournament in Cardiff.

Wales went unbeaten in the four-team event, rolling past Northern Ireland 7-1 and Scotland 5-2 to set up a showdown against fellow unbeaten England for the title.

The 31-year-old Jones, who played at Cardinal Stritch in Milwaukee in the 2006 and '07 seasons, plays for London club Baku United – the four-time defending English FA futsal champions.

Wales will play host to preliminary-round qualifying for the 2018 European Championships from Jan. 23 to Feb. 1, taking on Greece, Moldova and San Marino. The winner advances to the main round of qualifying April 3 to 12, and will play in Group 5 with reigning champion Spain, Serbia and host Poland.
