Tosaint Ricketts (UW-Green Bay) didn't need very long to score his first Major League Soccer goal.

Ricketts, who signed with Toronto FC on July 20, came off the bench in the 56th minute in Wednesday night's match against Real Salt Lake and scored the lone goal 12 minutes later as the home team posted a 1-0 victory.

Goalkeeper Alex Bono played a long goal kick up field that was flicked on by first Jozy Altidore and then Sebastian Giovinco, before Ricketts ran on to the ball and finished past Real Salt Lake keeper Nick Rimando with his right foot from 14 yards out.

It was the second Toronto FC appearance for Ricketts, who wears No. 87 -- he was born in 1987. The striker-midfielder, who turns 29 on Saturday, has 12 international goals in 50 caps for Canada and previously has played in Finland, Romania, Norway, Turkey and Israel during his nine-year professional career.
