Jada Dayne cemented her place in Wisconsin prep girls soccer history last month, as the Waunakee defender added her name to a very short list of players to earn first-team, all-state honors from the Wisconsin Soccer Coaches Association.

The Michigan recruit also closed out her high school career by making a mark on the national level this week, as she was named to the first team of the Top Drawer Soccer Spring Girls All-American Team.

Dayne, who was a second-team TDS All-American last year, had three goals and three assists for Waunakee as a senior this spring. Full historical records aren't available, but it appears she was the first four-time, all-state player in the state since former Waukesha Catholic Memorial standout Leslie Osborne did so from 1998 to 2001.

Forward Emily Cervantes, who won state titles in each of her four years at Catholic Memorial and ranks second in state history with 197 career goals, was a second-team TDS All-American. The Tennessee recruit finished with 50 goals and 14 assists this spring as the Crusaders (23-1-2) became the first team – boys or girls – to win five consecutive WIAA state soccer championships.

  • Dayne, Cervantes and senior goalkeeper Olivia Myszewski, who was the WSCA Player of the Year after helping lead Milwaukee DSHA to its second Division 1 state championship in the past three years, were named to the website's All-Great Lakes Region team. Keeper Madison Henry from Omaha (Neb.) Millard North, an incoming freshman at Marquette, was named to the All-Great Plains Region team.
  • TDS also honored seven players – all seniors – as Wisconsin All-Stars: Dayne, Cervantes, Myszewski, DSHA defender Amanda Durst, Neenah midfielder Alyssa Barnes, Oregon forward Jen Brien and Waukesha West forward Dani Rhodes. All seven players were first-team selections on the WSCA All-State team.
