The Premier League of America announced plans for its championship weekend, scheduled for July 30 and 31 at Springfield (Ohio) High School and hosted by Toledo United.

The top two teams in the West Division and East Division will qualify for the tournament, with the respective first-place sides squaring off against the second-place finishers in the semifinals at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Central on July 30.

The championship and third-place matches are set for the same times the following day – the PLA announced that all four games will be streamed via Periscope.

  • All three PLA state sides are in action this weekend. The West-leading Milwaukee Bavarians (3-0-3) are on the road for two matches, taking on SSC Minneapolis City (3-1-3) on Saturday and then heading south to play Cedar Rapids Rampage United (3-1-3) on Sunday. The Croatian Eagles (1-4-3) and Madison 56ers (1-4-2), meanwhile, face off at 4 p.m. Saturday at Croatian Park in Franklin – it's the second meeting in a week between the sides; the 56ers won 3-2 last Saturday at Breese Stevens Field in Madison.
