Laurie Bell (UW-Milwaukee) scored twice in a 16-minute span in the first half as host Karlslunds IF HFK tied Värmbols FC 2-2 in a Division 2 Södra Svealand match Sunday in Sweden.

Bell pulled the home side level in the 22nd minute on a free kick (Watch here), then gave Karlslunds the lead with his third goal of the year in the 37th. However, Värmbols scored in the 87th as the teams shared the points.

The 23-year-old Bell has played all 990 minutes for Karlslunds (5-4-2) in his first season with the club. They're in fourth place in the 14-team Division 2 Södra Svealand, which is in the fourth division of Swedish soccer.

  • Calum Mallace (Marquette) has been sidelined because of a foot injury, the Montreal Impact announced last week. The 26-year-old midfielder has been limited to just 223 minutes over four appearances (two starts) in his fifth Major League Soccer season, and hasn't played since April 9. On Twitter: @CMallace10
