Only one player in Wisconsin prep soccer history has scored more goals and recorded more points than Waukesha Catholic Memorial's Emily Cervantes.

The senior forward, who is headed to Tennessee on a full scholarship in the fall, recently passed Heather Willihnganz (Waunakee/UW) for second place in both categories, according to records kept by the Wisconsin Soccer Coaches Association.

After picking up two goals and an assist in Tuesday night 's 9-0 Classic 8 Conference win over Waukesha South, Cervantes has 167 goals and 366 points in her stellar career. Willihnganz had 158 goals and 344 points for Waunakee from 1990 to '93.

Ashley Bares (Ozaukee/Marquette), now an assistant coach for the Golden Eagles after playing professionally in Iceland, holds the state records in both categories with 224 goals and 505 points from 2004 to '07. Cervantes has 20 goals and six assists this season for the Crusaders (11-0-2), who have outscored opponents 54-3.

  • Pewaukee junior forward MacKenzie Schill scored four goals in Tuesday's 10-0 rout of host Greenfield in a Woodland Conference match, giving her 21 goals on the season and 92 for her career, according to Lake Country Publications reporter Evan Frank. Schill, who has verbally committed to UW-Milwaukee for 2017, is just two goals away from the program career record of 94 set by Shannon Sullivan – the sister of current Pirates coach Sean Sullivan – from 1989 to '92.
  • Waukesha West moved into the USA Today/National Soccer Coaches Association of America Super 25, checking in at No. 17 in this week's rankings. The Wolverines also are fourth in the Region III rankings, which include Brookfield Central at No. 10.
  • Brookfield Central continues to rise in the Top Drawer Soccer Fab 50, moving up nine spots to No. 22 this week. The unbeaten Lancers remained second in the Great Lakes Region rankings, with Waukesha West seventh, and those two sides are first and second in the website's Wisconsin rankings ahead of Schofield D.C. Everest.
  • All four No. 1 teams in last week's Wisconsin Soccer Coaches Association state polls maintained their positions in this week's rankings. While there was some shuffling of spots, 17 of the 20 teams in the polls were ranked last week – and the three newcomers (Glendale Nicolet in Division 2, Sugar River in Division 3 and Oostburg in Division 4) each earned honorable mention a week ago. Waukesha West tops the overall state rankings, followed by Brookfield Central, Eau Claire Memorial, D.C. Everest and Hartland Arrowhead. Here are this week's polls:
