After two stints training with the full U.S. women's national team over the past three months, University of Wisconsin midfielder Rose Lavelle will rejoin the Under-23 national team for next month's Istria Cup in Croatia.

The Under-23s will face Slovenia on March 2, the Polish Under-19 team on March 4 and the French "B" team March 7 in Group B at the fourth annual tournament. Croatia, Slovakia, Northern Ireland and the Hungarian "B" team will compete in Group A.

Illinois coach Janet Rayfield will lead the U.S. team, which includes 11 players who either play in the National Women's Soccer League or will be rookies in the league this season. Lavelle, one of eight collegiate players on the 20-woman roster, was a regular for the Under-23 national team last year as the side compiled a 5-0-1 record.
