The Milwaukee Wave came back from a two-goal deficit, but ended up on the short end of a 5-4 decision in a Major Arena Soccer League match against the Detroit Waza Flo on Saturday night in Flint, Mich.

Ian Bennett scored twice for the Wave (2-2), giving him a team-high six goals this season, while Marcio Leite and Drew Ruggles also found the back of the net. But Rafael Dias made 28 saves to help Detroit (3-3) snap a two-game losing streak and avenge a 10-3 loss to Milwaukee two weeks earlier.

Leite gave the Wave the lead with his third goal of the season 4:14 into the game, but the Waza Flo rattled off the next three scores – the final two in a 27-second span in the second quarter – before Ruggles pulled the Wave within 3-2 at halftime.

Bennett leveled the score just 27 seconds into the second half, only to see Zane Polack put the home side back in front with his second goal of the night just more than 5 minutes later. Bennett came up with another equalizer, this one on a power play 1:54 into the fourth quarter, but 44-year-old defender Costea Decu scored what proved to be the game-winner with a man advantage and 4:17 left to play.

Goalkeeper-assistant coach Nick Vorberg finished with 11 saves for Milwaukee, which played without standout Tony Walls (Wauwatosa East/UW-Green Bay) for the second straight game as its two-game winning streak come to an end.

Next up for the Wave is their first two-game weekend of the season, as they face the Missouri Comets (7-0) on Friday in Independence, Mo., then play host to the St. Louis Ambush (0-4) on Sunday at UW-Milwaukee Panther Arena. Sunday's game kicks off at 2:05 p.m.
