Sept. 23, 1982: The UW-Parkside men's soccer team (6-0-2) is ranked ninth in the NCAA Division II Coaches Poll, the first time the Rangers were nationally ranked in the program's 14-year history. Parkside, under coach Hal Henderson, went on to finish the season 17-3-2 – then a school record for victories in a year and a mark surpassed only once in program history (18 in 1989).
