Sept. 4, 1993: Stephanie Hartong scored the lone goal as Evansville blanked Marquette 1-0 at Bavarian Field in Glendale in the first varsity match for the Marquette women's program. Marquette earned its first win 15 days later, 1-0 over Teikyo Westmar, and went on to finish 6-10-0 in its inaugural season. In 22-plus seasons, Marquette has compiled a 305-133-46 overall record.
