July 28, 2007: Eric Conklin (UW) scored just before halftime and Ryan Germann (Madison West/UW-Milwaukee) posted his sixth clean sheet of the season as the Princeton-56ers blanked the Sonoma County Sol 1-0 in the National Premier Soccer League third-place match in La Mesa, Calif. Conklin collected a cross from Curt Zastrow (Reedsburg), pulled the ball back and beat Sol goalkeeper Mason Hill-Harrill to the far post for the game's lone goal. The Princeton-56ers, who lost to the eventual champion SoCal Fusion 1-0 in the semifinals, finished 13-3-1 overall in their third season.
