Jada Dayne is well known in Wisconsin soccer – she made the Wisconsin Soccer Coaches Association First XI as a freshman back in 2013 and repeated the honor in 2014 and again this year.

Now the defender has earned national accolades.

Dayne, who has verbally committed to play at Michigan starting in 2016, was named to the second team of the Top Drawer Soccer Girls Spring All-America team.

The foot-9 Dayne, the daughter of legendary University of Wisconsin running back Ron Dayne, was the only state player to make the website's top honor teams. She scored seven goals for Waunakee as a junior this season.

Overland Park St. Thomas Aquinas (Kan.) forward Jamie Kutey, an incoming freshman at Marquette, also was a second-team All-American.

  • Dayne heads up a group of five state players on the TDS Girls Spring All-Great Lakes Region team. She's joined by Waukesha West junior forward Dani Rhodes, Waukesha Catholic Memorial senior goalkeeper Cassidy Lentz, Milwaukee DSHA junior defender Amanda Durst and Muskego junior defender Jenny Fischer. Rhodes was the Gatorade Wisconsin Player of the Year and shared the WSCA honor with Lentz. Kutey made the All-Great Plains Region team along with Millard North (Neb.) keeper Madison Henry, who has verbally committed to Marquette for 2016.
