July 17, 2002: Ranko Golijanin ran on to a through ball from John Wolyniec and chipped goalkeeper Henry Ring from 12 yards out in the 54th minute as the Milwaukee Rampage upset the Chicago Fire 1-0 in a Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup third-round match watched by 5,323 at the Milwaukee County Sports Complex in Franklin. Dan Popik made three saves in the clean sheet, including a big stop on Josh Wolff's 10-yard shot in the 73rd, as the Rampage were the only A-League team to beat a Major League Soccer side in eight Open Cup matches on the night.
