Kevin Fisher (Green Bay Southwest/Edgewood College) scored twice and Ryan Germann (Madison West/UW-Milwaukee) kept a clean sheet as the Madison Fire  won their fifth Madison Soccer Association Division 1 title in the past eight years with a 3-0 victory over Paradigm on Friday night at Goodman Pitch at Verona's Reddan Soccer Park.

Richard Rowell (Middleton/UW-Platteville) played a through ball that sent Fisher in alone for the first goal in the opening quarter hour and sealed the victory with a goal in the final minute as the second-seeded Fire (9-5-3) added the 2014-15 championship to those won in 2008, '09, '12 and '13.

Top-seeded Paradigm (11-4-2), which beat the Fire 3-0 on May 3, was looking for its first title since winning the division in 2010 and '11.

In the Division 2 final earlier Friday night in Verona, Andrew Denzin scored in the final 10 minutes of regulation to tie the score at 3 and Ben Plumb stopped three shots in the shootout as Vilas Rangers outlasted defending champion Bulldogs 3-2 on penalties.

Jared Wells set up Alan Morris' opener and scored an equalizer in the second half for second-seeded Vilas Rangers (11-3-3), while Andrew Holtzen, Ryan Anderson and Denzin converted from the spot in the shootout.

The fourth-seeded Bulldogs (9-2-6) closed out the season with a 12-game unbeaten streak (8-0-4) but came up short of repeating as Division 2 champions.
