June 6, 2010: UW's Laurie Nosbusch (Cedarburg) opened the scoring in the 65th minute and UW-Milwaukee's Sarah Hagen (Appleton North) added a penalty kick 10 minutes later as the FC Milwaukee Nationals won their Women's Premier Soccer League debut, beating the Iowa Rush 2-0 in Ankeny, Iowa. The Nationals played in the league for three seasons, winning Midwest Region titles in 2010 and '12.
