May 2, 1997: Mia Hamm, Shannon MacMillan and Tiffeny Milbrett scored two goals apiece as the U.S. women's national team routed South Korea 7-0 in an international friendly at Uihlein Soccer Park in Milwaukee. A sellout crowd of 5,530 turned out for the women's national team's first match in Wisconsin despite heavy rains and high winds, and saw Hamm set the tone with the first goal just 49 seconds after the opening whistle.
