The FC Wisconsin Nationals' Under-17/18 team extended its winning streak to three games last weekend, sweeping St. Louis Scott Gallagher Missouri 4-1 and Metro 1-0 in U.S. Soccer Development Academy play.

Blake Carr (Hartland Arrowhead) scored twice and Adrian Roman and Sal Gloria added goals in Saturday's win over the Missouri side in Fenton, Mo.

Roman opened the scoring with his first goal of the season in the 8th minute, Carr doubled the lead in the 51st and Gloria (78th) and Carr (90th) added insurance goals in the final quarter of an hour. Carr leads the Nationals with seven goals on the season, one more than Abdul Kooistra (Madison Memorial).

A day later, Aidan Hogan (Kohler) posted his second clean sheet of the season and Roman drew and converted a penalty in the 26th minute for the lone goal as FC Wisconsin (6-8-3) blanked the Metro team in Collinsville, Ill., to move into eighth place in the 13-team Central Conference Mid-America Division.

The Nationals' other teams were on the other end of sweeps against Scott Gallagher.

The Under-15/16 side (6-10-1) dropped a 5-1 decision to Missouri on Saturday, getting a goal from Luis Arreola, and fell 1-0 to Metro on Sunday and also are eighth in the division. And the Under-13/14 team (0-14-1) lost 4-1 to Missouri and 4-2 to Metro – Cole Stephens scored in both games and has a team-best four goals on the season.
