While many state girls soccer teams played a game or two during the first week of the season, the results had very little impact on the Wisconsin Soccer Coaches Association state polls.

The rankings for the three largest divisions released Tuesday night remained exactly the same as the preseason polls, while three teams shifted slightly in the Division 4 rankings.

Racine St. Catherine's, which hasn't played yet, moved up one spot to No. 3, New Holstein edged up one place to fourth and Racine Prairie School slipped two spots to No. 5 after falling to Division 1 teams in its first two games of the season. The Hawks lost to reigning WIAA state champion Milwaukee DSHA, ranked first in Division 1, and Mequon Homestead, which earned honorable mention in the large schools poll.

The coaches' top five overall teams also remained the same as last week with DSHA at the top, followed by Schofield D.C. Everest (Division 1), Waukesha West (Division 2), Kettle Moraine (Division 1) and Whitefish Bay (Division 2).

Honorable mention: Middleton (0-0-0), Brookfield Central (1-0-0), Menomonee Falls (0-0-1), Mequon Homestead (1-0-0), Appleton North (0-0-1), Hartland Arrowhead (1-0-0).

Honorable mention: Oregon (2-0-0), Wauwatosa East (1-0-1), DePere (0-0-0).

Honorable mention: Grafton (1-0-0), Green Bay Notre Dame (0-0-1), Sheboygan Falls (0-1-0).

Honorable mention: Milwaukee University School (1-0-0), Brookfield Academy (2-0-0), Menasha St. Mary Central (0-0-0).
