Prep girls soccer teams in Wisconsin can't start practice until March 23, but two of the four reigning state champions already are in the national rankings.
Milwaukee DSHA, which won its third WIAA Division 1 state title last spring, is ranked 32nd in the Top Drawer Soccer Preseason Spring Fab 50. The Dashers (19-5-2 in 2014) open the season March 31 at Racine Prairie School.
Meanwhile, Waukesha Catholic Memorial checks in at No. 41. The Crusaders have won state championships each of the past three years, having won the Division 3 crown last season after claiming Division 2 titles in 2012 and '13. They finished 25-2-1 a year ago, and open the 2015 season against Hartford on April 1 at Uihlein Soccer Park in Milwaukee before making their annual trip to South Carolina.
DSHA is third and Catholic Memorial are third and fourth, respectively, in the TDS Great Lakes Region rankings and first and second in the website's Wisconsin rankings – Waukesha West (22-5-0 in 2014) is third.
