University of Wisconsin men's and women's soccer coaches John Trask and Paula Wilkins each had their three-year contracts extended through 2018 by the UW Athletic Board on Friday.
Trask has compiled a 37-46-15 overall record in five seasons, and led the Badgers to the NCAA tournament in 2013 – their first NCAA appearance since winning the national championship in 1995. After having 13 seniors graduate and seeing standout defender A.J. Cochran leave the program a year early to sign with Major League Soccer, a young UW side finished 3-12-3 overall and 0-7-1 in the Big Ten Conference last fall.
Wilkins led the Badgers to a school-record 19 wins and the Big Ten tournament title in 2014, her eighth season in Madison after departing Penn State. She's posted an 87-55-21 overall record at UW, including NCAA appearances in 2009, '10, '13 and '14.
