Jan. 21, 1962: Franz Strigenz scored in each half as Bavarian SC blanked Racine 2-0 in the Wisconsin Open Cup final to extend its unbeaten streak to 21 matches in all competitions (20-0-1). The win gave the Bavarians a sweep of all three available state titles, as they also were the reigning Wisconsin Soccer Association league and Amateur Challenge Cup champions.
