Jan. 14, 2005: Three players with state ties were selected in the Major League Soccer SuperDraft, led by defender Tim Ward (Waukesha) going to the MetroStars with the 12th and final pick of the first round. Midfielder Nick Van Sicklen (Madison West/UW) was chosen by D.C. United with the No. 19 pick in the second round, while the San Jose Earthquakes took forward Antou Jallow (UW-Milwaukee) in the fourth round with the No. 41 overall choice.
