FC Kansas City forward Sarah Hagen (Appleton North/UW-Milwaukee) and University of Wisconsin midfielder Rose Lavelle will get their 2015 soccer seasons started this weekend in California with the U.S. Under-23 women's national team.

Hagen and Lavelle are among 24 players named to the roster for a week-long training camp that kicks off Saturday in Carson, Calif.

The 25-year-old Hagen, who earned her first two caps with the full national team last year, is one of nine overage players called into the camp by Under-23 coach Steve Swanson. Lavelle, meanwhile, is one of three players on the squad who played for the U.S. team at last summer's FIFA Under-20 Women's World Cup.

  • The U.S. roster for the CONCACAF Under-20 Championship in Jamaica had been scheduled to be released Friday, but instead will be announced Monday. Reading FC forward Andrija Novakovich (Muskego) was named to the provisional 35-man roster, from which coach Tab Ramos will select the final 20-player roster. The U.S. team will leave for Jamaica on Monday, with its first match against Guatemala on Jan. 9.
