Peter Raymonds added another prestigious honor to his soccer resume.

The Brookfield East senior forward, named the Wisconsin Soccer Coaches Association Player of the Year last month, earned a spot on the National Soccer Coaches Association of America Fall High School Boys All-American team that was announced Monday.

Raymonds, who has verbally committed to UW-Milwaukee for next fall, had 32 goals and six assists this fall to help lead the Spartans (20-2-4) to the WIAA Division 2 state championship – their first title since 1997. He scored seven of the team's 14 playoff goals, including both goals in the 2-0 win over Cedarburg in the state final.

The NSCAA team included 56 players, with Raymonds one of 20 forwards on the honor squad. He's at least the fourth Brookfield East player to earn NSCAA All-America honors, following goalkeeper Scott Coufal (1991) and forwards Dennis Fadeski (1995) and Brett Wiesner (2000).

Five other state players joined Raymonds on the NSCAA's All-Central Region team: Brookfield Central defender Johnny Dusing, Madison Memorial defender Teon Fountain, Kettle Moraine midfielder Brandon Strobel and the Milwaukee Marquette duo of midfielder Samson D'Amato and forward Alec Philippe. All five players made the WSCA Best XI; Philippe is a junior, while the other four are seniors.

Fountain had five goals and two assists for the Spartans and anchored a backline that recorded 12 shutouts on the season, while Strobel had 12 goals and eight assists for the Lasers. Philippe scored a team-best 27 goals and added five assists and D'Amato contributed 11 goals and eight assists for the WIAA Division 1 state champions.
