Nov. 26, 1972: Richard Schweinert opened the scoring in the seventh minute as Pabst Blue Ribbon-Bavarian beat Schlitz-Polonia 2-0 on a brisk day at muddy Brewers Field to repeat as Wisconsin Major League champions. The 34-year-old Schweinert, a native of Lithuania, scored more than 400 goals in 700-plus appearances for the club.
