Hapoel Haifa striker Tosaint Ricketts (UW-Green Bay) and the Canadian national team closed out their 2014 schedule with a 0-0 draw against CONCACAF rival Panama in an international friendly Tuesday night in Panama City.
Ricketts played the full 90 minutes in his 35th cap for Canada, which went 1-1-3 in its five matches this year.
He was involved in two key sequences late in the friendly: He was fouled by Panama's Anibal Godoy in the 74th, a play that earned the midfielder his second yellow card and a red card, then had a chance to score a stoppage-time winner.
Marcus Haber got free on the left and played in a cross that was slightly behind Ricketts on the right side of the box. Ricketts took a touch, turned and shot, but the ball sailed wide right and the game ended scoreless. (Watch highlights below)
