Nov. 13, 1915: Milwaukee St. Bernard topped the host Wauwatosa Boy Scouts 3-1 in what The Milwaukee Journal reported as the first organized youth soccer game in Wisconsin history. "The Milwaukee team was outweighed, but played an excellent brand of football," according to the match report. Tweedy, Sampson and Jones scored for St. Bernard, while Tink had the lone goal for the Boy Scouts. "The youngsters took the game and played their hardest throughout. Many prominent people were in the crowd that witnessed the game," the Journal reported.
