Hayden Knight

Oct. 11, 1984: Hayden Knight (Marquette) earned his first cap for the U.S. national team, playing the full 90 minutes on the backline in a 1-0 victory over Colombia in an international friendly in Los Angeles. Knight was born in Trinidad, but grew up in New York before his standout career at Marquette – he scored 52 goals in 48 appearances for the Warriors from 1976 to '79. He earned three caps for the national team, all coming in a seven-day span.
