Sept. 27, 1984: Forwards Kris Klassen (Shorewood/Cardinal Stritch) and Tony Salciccia became the first players to sign with the Milwaukee Wave of the American Indoor Soccer Association. The 21-year-old Klassen, who scored 30 goals in 14 matches for Cardinal Stritch in 1982 and also was a standout for Bavarian SC, had been playing with the Team USA indoor team.
