Sept. 1, 2004: Sara Gross set the NCAA Division III women's record for the fastest goal from the start of a game, scoring just 6 seconds into St. Norbert's 7-1 rout of Edgewood College at Breese Stevens Field in Madison. Gross' effort matched UNC Asheville's Kristi Cummings (1995) as the earliest goal in an NCAA women's match and was matched by Virginia Commonwealth's Solfrid Anderson just four days later, but their collective mark was broken by North Carolina's Yael Averbuch in 2006 when she scored just 4 seconds into a game.
