Andrew Stadler (Wauwatosa West) got on the scoresheet once again Saturday, but Alex Horwath (UW) and Ljungskile SK got the win.

Stadler scored his 10th goal of the season on an 89th-minute header, but it proved to be only late consolation as Ljungskile topped held off Landskrona BoIS 3-2 in a Superettan match in Sweden.

Horwath made four saves for Ljungskile (10-2-6), which is second in the 16-team second division – thanks to a better goal differential than Hammarby (plus-21 to plus-20) – with 12 games left in the season.

Stadler moved into a tie for second in the league in goals, one behind Stefan Silva of IK Sirius FK. Landskrona (5-10-3) is in 13th place in the Superettan.

  • Matt Pyzdrowski (Marquette) made two saves in his fifth shutout of the year, helping Ängelholms FF knock off Jönköpings Södra IF 1-0 in another Superettan match Saturday. Ängelholms (6-8-4) stands 10th in the league table.
  • Michele Dalton (UW) recorded her seventh clean sheet of the season Saturday as host Kvarnsvedens IK blanked Umeå Södra FF 3-0 in Elitettan play. Kvarnsvedens (10-4-2) is third in the 14-team second division with 10 games remaining.
  • Sarah Hagen (Appleton North/UW-Milwaukee) scored her fourth goal in eight games for FC Kansas City, providing what proved to be the game-winner in a weather-shortened 2-1 win over the visiting Boston Breakers on Wednesday night. With the victory, FCKC (12-6-5) clinched the No. 2 seed for the National Women's Soccer League playoffs and home-field advantage for the semifinals. Seattle Reign FC (16-1-5) already has secured the NWSL Shield as regular-season champions.
