July 16, 2008: Lindsay Tarpley (Madison) earned her 100th career cap as the U.S. beat Brazil 1-0 in a friendly in San Diego, Calif., the team's final match before the Beijing Olympics. The 23-year-old Tarpley wore the captain's armband – a tradition for U.S. players in their 100th match – during her 56 minutes. The game was played at the University of San Diego's Torero Stadium, which also was the site of Tarpley's first international appearance on Jan. 12, 2003.
