A pair of future University of Wisconsin teammates were called in to the Canadian Under-20 women's national EXCEL Program camp that started last week in Burnaby, British Columbia.

Kinley McNicoll, who will be a junior this fall, and incoming recruit Victoria Pickett were among the 23 players named to the camp roster as the team prepares for this summer's FIFA Under-20 Women's World Cup in Canada.

McNicoll led the Badgers with 13 assists and tied for second on the team with six goals last season and has started 33 of 34 matches in the midfield for UW over the past two years. However, she is listed as a defender on the Canadian camp roster.

Pickett has verbally committed to the Badgers, according to her club (Glen Shields SC) and multiple media reports, but the 17-year-old defender was not among the players announced by the school as part of its 2014 recruiting class.

The current EXCEL Program camp runs through July 9, and the Under-20 team will gather again for a camp from July 16 to 21 in Mexico City that will include a pair of friendlies against Mexico.

Canada will face Ghana, Finland and North Korea at the Under-20 Women's World Cup, which will be played in four Canadian cities from Aug. 5 to 24.
