A last-minute goal ended SC Waukesha Blue's quest to claim the U.S. Youth Soccer Region II Under-15 girls championship on Wednesday morning.

The Wisconsin state champion took the early lead, but Bailey Korhorn equalized for Alliance Academy Black and then scored the winner off a corner kick in the 80th minute as the Michigan side prevailed 2-1 in Beavercreek, Ohio.

Kylie Sprecher (Menomonee Falls) scored for the second straight game, with her 13th-minute goal putting SC Waukesha Blue ahead in the regional final. It was Sprecher's third goal of the tournament.

Korhorn, though, levelled the score in the 32nd and found the net again in the final moments – SC Waukesha had allowed only one goal in its first four games.

Marquette's Liz Bartels scored her fourth goal of the regional as Team Chicago Academy-Botafogo topped Ohio Premier Eclipse 2-0 in the Under-19 girls final. The winning side also includes Marquette's Ashley Handwork, incoming Marquette freshmen Heather Handwork and Katie Ciesiulka and UW's Rose Lavelle.

In the Under-18 boys final, Scott Nicolai (Eau Claire Memorial) and Minnesota's St. Croix SC fell to Michigan's Waza FC East Juniors 3-1. And the Chicago Fire Academy, with Marquette's Louis Bennett II (Shorewood) and Jake Taylor (Whitefish Bay) and UW's Nick Jones, lost to Missouri's Raytown SC 2-1 in the Under-19 boys final. Jones tied for third in the division with four goals in five games.
