Andrew Stadler (Wauwatosa West) came up with another big goal in Sweden, scoring in the second minute of second-half stoppage time Sunday as visiting Landskrona BoIS got past Ängelholms FF 2-1 and moved out of last place in the Superettan.

After a nice series of passes on the right side pulled Ängelholms goalkeeper Matt Pyzdrowski (Marquette) off his line, Martin Rudolfsson squared the ball back to the middle of the box and Stadler supplied the left-footed finish from about 8 yards out into the open net. (Watch the goal below)

Stadler is tied for ninth in the league with five goals in 12 appearances for Landskrona (3-7-3), which is now 15th in the 16-team second division – but only one point behind 12th-place Ängelholms (3-6-4).

Pyzdrowski made eight saves for the home side, while Eric Pothast (Marquette) played all 90 minutes at center back.

  • Three more players with state ties are expected to play in U.S. Open Cup matches on Wednesday night. Banks, Tony Walls (Wauwatosa East/UW-Green Bay) and the Rhinos face Major League Soccer's New England Revolution at 6:30 p.m. in Providence, R.I., while Ethan Finlay (Marshfield) and the Columbus Crew play the Chicago Fire in an all-MLS matchup at 7:30 p.m. in Bridgeview, Ill.  On Twitter: @TWalls20 @EthanFinlay13
