The Wisconsin State Championships, which were supposed to conclude Sunday afternoon in Appleton, instead will wrap up Wednesday night on three fields in the Milwaukee area.

The Under-14, Under-16 and Under-19 boys finals had to be rescheduled after storms halted play at the annual Wisconsin Youth Soccer Association tournament Sunday at Scheels USA Youth Sports Complex.

Madison FC Gold will face Bavarian Blue in the Under-14 final at the fields near Meyer Rd. in Menomonee Falls while Croatian Eagles Red takes on SC Waukesha Blue in the Under-16 final at Marquette's Valley Fields in Milwaukee. Those matches are both set to kick off at 6 p.m.

The Under-19 final between Appleton SC and the SC Waukesha Pumas is scheduled for 8:30 p.m. at Time Warner Cable Stadium at Milwaukee's Uihlein Soccer Park.

Wednesday's winners will earn berths in the U.S. Youth Soccer Region II Championships, which are June 21 to 25 in Beavercreek, Ohio. They'll join the four boys teams and two girls sides that claimed State Cup titles on Sunday and the four high school-aged girls teams that won their respective divisions last fall at regionals.

Other state sides also will play at regionals – berths can be secured based on results in the Midwest Regional League, and wild card spots are available in some age groups.
