Six teams earned Wisconsin State Championships on Sunday, but three other finals were postponed as severe weather swept through Scheels USA Youth Sports Complex in Appleton and will be rescheduled for this week.

SC Waukesha was the only club with more winner in the half dozen finals that were completed at the annual Wisconsin Youth Soccer Association championships, as their Under-13 boys and Under-14 girls claimed state titles.

Four teams posted shutouts in winning their finals: Rush Wisconsin's Under-15 boys, North Shore United's Under-13 girls and both SC Waukesha sides. Neither SC Waukesha side allowed a goal in the tournament, with the Under-14 girls outscoring opponents 18-0 in five wins and the Under-13 boys finishing with a 15-0 margin.

Kennedy Krenek scored the lone goal for North Shore United in its 1-0 victory over SC Waukesha Blue in the Under-13 girls final, finishing off a cross from Hailey Block in the first half. Emma Kate Knudson recorded the clean sheet for North Shore United, which outscored foes 16-1 in the tournament.

The other two matches both finished with 2-1 scorelines. The Elm Grove Blues topped Bavarian Blue in the Under-17 boys final, while Isaac Schlenker scored both goals to lead Bavarian Blue past FC Wisconsin-Lataille – an Under-17 team playing up a division – in the Under-18 final.

The three games still to be played are all boys matches: Madison FC Gold vs. Bavarian Blue (Under-14), Croatian Eagles Red vs. SC Waukesha Blue (Under-16) and Appleton SC vs. SC Waukesha Pumas (Under-19). Rescheduling information is expected to be finalized Tuesday, according to WYSA competitions administrator Patrick Hodgins.

This spring's nine state champions earn spots in the U.S. Youth Soccer Region II Championships, which are June 21 to 25 in Beavercreek, Ohio. Four Wisconsin girls teams earned regional berths last fall by winning their respective State Cup divisions: SC Waukesha (Under-15), Fusion (Under-16), Strike FC Wisconsin (Under-17) and North Shore United (Under-18).
