It didn't take long for Maegan Kelly (Marquette) to make her mark in Iceland.

Kelly scored all three goals for UMF Stjarnan in its 3-0 victory over visiting Fylkir on Tuesday in an Úrvalsdeild match played in Garðabær.

The 22-year-old Kelly, who wrapped up her stellar career with the Golden Eagles last fall, was selected by FC Kansas City in January's National Women's Soccer League College Draft. She didn't make an appearance for the club in league play before being released April 29, and joined Stjarnan a few weeks later.

Tuesday's match was Kelly's third appearance with the Icelandic powerhouse – Stjarnan won all 18 of its league games last season and qualified for the Round of 32 of the 2014-15 UEFA Women's Champions League, which starts in October.

She opened the scoring with a strike in the 57th minute, doubled the home side's lead with another drive in the 73rd and finished off her hat trick in the 88th. It was the second straight win for Stjarnan, which dropped 1-0 decisions to Breidablik in the Icelandic Super Cup and its Úrvalsdeild opener.

Kelly is the second former Golden Eagles standout to play for Stjarnan: Ashley Bares (Ozaukee), who coached Kelly last fall as an assistant at Marquette, starred for the club in 2011 and '12.
