Madison West made its season debut in this week's Wisconsin Soccer Coaches Association state girls poll, checking in at No. 5 in Division 1.

The Regents have outscored opponents 38-3 and have posted eight clean sheets in 11 matches, with their lone loss a 1-0 setback to Brookfield Central on May 9.

Two other teams, Appleton North (Division 1) and Oregon (Division 2), also moved into the rankings this week, but both the Lightning and the Panthers were ranked earlier in the season.

Three of the four top-ranked teams kept their spots, with Division 1 Milwaukee DSHA and Division 3 Waukesha Catholic Memorial doing so despite suffering losses in the past week. The Dashers dropped a 1-0 decision to Whitefish Bay – No. 1 in Division 2 – last Friday, while the Crusaders were blanked by Kettle Moraine 2-0 on Tuesday night.

In Division 4, Racine St. Catherine's took over at the top, trading places with rival Racine Prairie School. The Angels are riding a 15-game unbeaten streak (13-0-2) since suffering their lone loss, 6-0 to Catholic Memorial back on April 5. Included in that run was a 2-1 victory over Prairie School on May 7.
