Wisconsin Soccer Central

FC Wisconsin Nationals, in partnership with the Army National Guard and U.S. Club Soccer, will hold a free college showcase open to all Wisconsin high school boys players on June 14 at the club's complex in Germantown.

Coaches from four NCAA Division I programs – the University of Wisconsin, UW-Green Bay, Northern Illinois and Campbell – are scheduled to attend, along with those from Division III Concordia and Wisconsin Lutheran and NAIA program Cardinal Stritch. The event includes a free lunch, during which time the college coaches will hold a Q-and-A session.

• The annual MAYSA Cup tournament, for Under-9 to Under-14 recreational teams from the Madison area, is this weekend at Reddan Soccer Park in Verona. This year's event includes 159 teams: 98 coed sides and 61 girls teams.
