University of Wisconsin midfielder Rose Lavelle and the U.S. Under-20 women's national team will continue their preparations for this summer's FIFA Under-20 Women's World Cup with a training camp May 11 to 18 in Chula Vista, Calif.

Lavelle is one of 27 players called into the camp at the U.S. Olympic Training Center by U.S. coach Michelle French, who will also select a 20-player squad for a trip to France in June for two matches against the French Under-20 team.

The Americans will have one final camp in July before heading to the Under-20 Women's World Cup, which is Aug. 5 to 24 in Canada. The U.S. was drawn into Group B with Ghana, Brazil and Germany, which lost to the Americans 1-0 in the 2012 final.

Lavelle, the Big Ten Conference Freshman of the Year for the Badgers last fall, has been a regular with the U.S. side over the past year and won the Golden Ball as the top player as the Americans cruised to the title at the CONCACAF Women's Under-20 Championships in January.
