The FC Wisconsin Nationals opened the spring portion of their U.S. Soccer Development Academy season last weekend in Ohio, getting results in four of six matches against the Crew Soccer Academy and Internationals.

The Under-15/16 team went unbeaten, improving to 6-4-3 and moving into sixth place in the Central Conference's 13-team Mid-America Division – the Nationals are sitting in the 13th and final wild card playoff spot with an average of 1.62 points per game.

Blake Carr (Hartland Arrowhead) scored his first goal of the season in the 14th minute to give FC Wisconsin the lead against the Crew on Saturday in Obetz, Ian Karcher (Brookfield East) opened his account in the 66th minute and goalkeeper Aiden Hogan (Kohler) recorded the clean sheet in a 2-0 win. A day later in Medina, Justin Cook (West Allis Hale) posted the shutout as the Nationals settled for a 0-0 draw with Internationals.

The Under-17/18 side got a goal from Braden Andryk (Milwaukee Marquette) in the 5th minute against the Crew, but the home side scored three times in the final 20 minutes of the first half en route to a 4-1 victory. Marcelle Moss (Appleton West) put FC Wisconsin ahead after 34 minutes against Internationals on Sunday, but the Nationals (4-8-1) yielded an 82nd-minute goal and wound up with a 1-1 draw.

Jonathan Hernandez (Milwaukee) and Mark Orlowski (Waukesha) were on target for the Under-13/14 team, which dropped a 4-2 decision to the Crew in their first match since Nov. 10. Against Internationals, Luca DeMartino and Antonio De Castro (Green Bay Preble) scored in the opening 17 minutes and Hernandez added his fifth of the season – one behind Orlowski's team-leading total – in the 24th to back goalkeeper Nick Martensson (Milwaukee Marquette) in a 3-0 victory for the Nationals (2-7-2).

All three FC Wisconsin teams will play their home openers Saturday against Chicago Magic PSG in Germantown. The Under-17/18 match kicks off at 11 a.m., followed by the Under-15/16 game at 1:30 p.m. and the Under-13/14 match at 3:45 p.m. FC Wisconsin Nationals results/schedule/rosters
