Prep girls soccer teams in Wisconsin can't start practicing until March 24 and the earliest date for games is April 1 – and that's assuming the weather cooperates – but a trio of state teams are already in the rankings.

Waukesha Catholic Memorial, Milwaukee DSHA and Waunakee are the three teams in the Student Sports state rankings, and all three also are in their new Great Lakes Region rankings – the Crusaders are sixth, with the Dashers eighth and the Warriors 10th in the 10-team rankings made up of teams from Michigan and Wisconsin.

Catholic Memorial, which went undefeated last season in winning its second straight WIAA Division 2 state championship, checked in at No. 39 in this week's Student Sports Fab 50 – that's up one spot from last week's preseason national rankings.
