Now that they've officially booked their spot in this summer's FIFA Under-20 Women's World Cup in Canada, it's time for University of Wisconsin midfielder Rose Lavelle and the U.S. Under-20 national team to prepare for the tournament.

They'll start the process with a nine-day training camp that starts Saturday in Lakewood Ranch, Fla., and features three friendlies: two against fellow Under-20 Women's Cup qualifier China and one against the University of Florida.

Lavelle, one of 24 players called into the camp by coach Michelle French, claimed the Golden Ball as the MVP of the CONCACAF Under-20 Women's Championships as the U.S. cruised to the regional title last month in the Cayman Islands – they outscored their five foes by a combined 29-0 margin.

The Americans have a pair of matches scheduled for Feb. 26, against China at 3 p.m. and the Gators at 6 p.m., and will take on China again on March 1. The Under-20 Women's World Cup is Aug. 5 to 24 in Edmonton, Montreal, Moncton and Toronto.

Lavelle was the Big Ten Conference Freshman of the Year for the Badgers last fall, scoring six goals and adding seven assists in 19 appearances.
