Five players with state ties are among the nearly 200 players who are eligible for Friday's National Women's Soccer League College Draft.

The four-round draft starts at 9 a.m. in Philadelphia, in conjunction with the National Soccer Coaches Association of America convention.

A trio of former Marquette players are among the players on the NWSL draft-eligible list: defender Emily Jacobson (Shorewood), midfielder-forward Maegan Kelly and defender-midfielder Vanessa Legault-Cordisco.

Alex Melin (Verona), a midfielder-defender who played at Iowa, and former UW-Whitewater defender Jessica Allemang (Wauwatosa West) also are on the list. View the full list | Draft order

  • All White Kit's Chris Henderson projects Kelly to be selected by the Boston Breakers in the fourth round in his mock draft. Henderson writes: "Probably a better passer than pure scorer, but the Breakers need every bit of offensive help they can muster. Kelly wasn't a world beater in 2013 but could be the late value the club is searching for in attack."
  • Central defender Eric Pothast (Marquette) officially signed with Ängelholms FF, the Swedish club announced Thursday.
