Sarah Hagen (Appleton North/UW-Milwaukee) has scored goals at every level, from high school and club to college and Under-23 international play and most recently as a professional.

Now the 5-foot-11 striker will get a chance with the U.S. women's national team.

U.S. coach Tom Sermanni called in Hagen for a national team camp that runs Dec. 3 to 15 in Carson, Calif. – though she won't report until Dec. 9, the day after her Bayern Munich side finishes off the first half of their Frauen-Bundesliga season.

Hagen, who turned 24 last week, is tied for second in the Frauen-Bundesliga with seven goals in eight matches for Bayern Munich (5-1-2), which is third in the 12-team league with two matches left before the winter break. She has 38 goals in 48 appearances in all competitions since signing with the German club in January 2012.

During her UWM career, Hagen recorded 93 goals in 86 appearances – ranking ninth in NCAA Division I history in goals and 12th in goals per game (1.08). In 2010 and '11, she played eight matches with the U.S. Under-23 national team and scored seven goals.

Hagen trained with the full U.S. national team last April as the American side prepared for a friendly against Germany.
