Bucaspor striker Tosaint Ricketts (UW-Green Bay) started and logged 73 minutes Friday as the Canadian national team lost to the host Czech Republic 2-0 in an international friendly in Olomouc.

Ricketts, 26, earned his 27th cap for Canada, which was shut out for the ninth consecutive game and saw its winless streak extended to 13 matches (0-10-3).

The Canadians, ranked 111th in the latest FIFA World Rankings, close out the year with a friendly Tuesday at No. 30 Slovenia in Celje. The 27th-ranked Czech Republic took control early Friday, scoring in the third minute.
